Cosmax Q3 net profit up 90 pct to 20.6 bln won

SEOUL, Nov. 11 (Yonhap) -- Cosmax Inc. on Monday reported its third-quarter net income of 20.6 billion won (US$14.8 million), up 90 percent from a year earlier.
Operating profit for the July-September period was 43.4 billion won, up 30.3 percent from a year ago, the company said in a regulatory filing. Revenue rose 15.6 percent to 529.8 billion won.
The earnings fell short of market expectations. The average estimate of net profit by analysts stood at 24.8 billion won, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
