Naver Q3 net profit up 48.8 pct to 530.1 bln won

SEOUL, Nov. 8 (Yonhap) -- Naver Corp. on Friday reported its third-quarter net profit of 530.1 billion won (US$383 million), up 48.8 percent from a year earlier.
Operating profit for the July-September period was 525.3 billion won, up 38.2 percent from a year ago, the company said in a regulatory filing. Sales rose 11.1 percent to 2.71 trillion won.
The earnings exceeded market expectations. The average estimate of net profit by analysts stood at 406.6 billion won, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
