S. Korea, Georgia to sign pact on economic cooperation
SEOUL, March 7 (Yonhap) -- South Korea said Thursday it will sign an accord with Georgia on promoting bilateral economic cooperation next week.
Vice Foreign Minister Lee Tae-ho and his Georgian counterpart, Genadi Arveladze, are scheduled to sign the document in Seoul on Monday, Lee's ministry said. Arveladze has the official job title of deputy minister of economy and sustainable development.
"With the accord, the two countries plan to explore the possibility of joint projects in areas of mutual concern such as investment, trade, tourism and industry and make joint efforts to promote people-to-people exchanges," the ministry said.
They will also set up a joint committee for the effective implementation of the agreement, it added.
