Netmarble taps Conan O'Brien for 'Lineage 2: Revolution'
By Kim Han-joo
SEOUL, Nov. 6 (Yonhap) -- Netmarble Games, South Korea's top mobile game developer, said Monday it has enlisted the help of American TV show host Conan O'Brien to market its mega-hit title, "Lineage 2: Revolution," in 54 countries next month.
The O'Brien appearance in an advertisement is part of the company's aggressive marketing effort to showcase the mobile role-playing game that will be available in the Google Play Store and Apple's App Store in North America, Europe, Australia and the Middle East on Nov. 15.
The game gained a lot of popularity after its release in 12 Asian countries, including Japan, by becoming the No. 1 app in terms of sales both on the Google Play Store and Apple's App Store.
Netmarble Games, established in 2000, has produced some of the most successful mobile and online games to date, including "MARVEL Future Fight," "Seven Knights" and "Everybody's Marble." The company successfully debuted on Seoul's bourse in May.
