How Microsoft is scaling AI with OpenAI, Nvidia, and AMD

I recently spoke with Tae Kim at Barron’s (subscription required) about the rapid evolution of AI and how Microsoft is scaling to meet the moment. We’re expanding infrastructure with partners like OpenAI, Nvidia, and AMD. We’re driving innovation with our Maia chips. And we’re supporting models from OpenAI, Anthropic, and our own first-party offerings—because giving customers choice isn’t just important, it’s essential. https://lnkd.in/ghiS8crB

Scott Guthrie How does Microsoft plan to address the ethical implications of implementing powerful models in scale especially for regions with limited digital literacy and regulatory control? And how do you vet transparency and accountability across models from different providers especially when they're connected to critical decision making systems.?

Impressive to see Microsoft’s multi-partner approach to AI infrastructure. Supporting diverse model ecosystems—from OpenAI to Anthropic—really sets the tone for open innovation. Exciting times ahead for companies like ours building tailored AI solutions on top of this growing foundation.

Excellent insights, Scott. This multi-layered approach—from infrastructure with partners like NVIDIA to a diverse model ecosystem—is exactly what empowers partners like XBS to deliver transformative AI solutions to our clients. We're proud to be building on the Microsoft & OpenAI stack to help businesses innovate faster.

It’s fascinating to see how Microsoft is not only collaborating with key players like OpenAI and Nvidia but also doubling down on its own chip innovation with Maia. The part that stands out to me, though, is the emphasis on customer choice. It’s easy to get locked into a single ecosystem, but fostering flexibility feels like a smarter long-term strategy, especially given the rapid evolution of AI. Curious, how do you prioritise between first-party models and external partnerships when scaling?

Great insights on Microsoft’s AI scale-up-from Maia chips to partnerships with OpenAI, Nvidia & AMD. At TrustModel.ai, we see choice + trust as the foundation for responsible AI adoption.

False banned by Activision due to launch CoD on ReFS-Installed Windows

When will the false bans due to the file system be fixed? How is this even possible, and why has there still been no adequate response for more than half a year? How is it that a Microsoft file system is now incompatible with Microsoft games? The logs and dumps clearly show that the game was running on ReFS and that nothing about file systems is mentioned in the agreement, policies, or terms, yet there is a ban for some reason.

This data centre gives a better idea of infinity than infinity itself! Really makes the scale of things tangible.
