The 2025 Chuseok full moon will rise in Seoul at 5:32 PM on the 6th.
The Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI) announced on the 1st that the Chuseok full moon will rise at 5:32 PM in Seoul on the 6th and will reach its highest point at 11:50 PM on the same day.
The moon will become perfectly full (syzygy), when it is positioned directly opposite the sun, at 12:48 PM on October 7, the day after Chuseok. However, it will not be observable as this occurs during the daytime. The full moon seen on the night of Chuseok will therefore not be perfectly round and will appear slightly less full on its left side.
To find out the moonrise and moonset times for other regions, you can refer to the 'Monthly Sun/Moon Rise & Set Times' section on the KASI Astronomy & Space Science Information website (https://astro.kasi.re.kr/life/pageView/6).
